Details: Hi, my name is Marie Wiere, welcome to my blog. I am a British expat currently living in the Reno/Tahoe area with my husband Bryan and our English cocker spaniel Mickey. I currently balance full-time work while studying for my MBA at the University of Nevada, Reno. While my work experience is primarily in human resources, training and recruitment, I am also interested in strategy, marketing and international business. My past employers have included the Walt Disney Company, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation and ARAMARK. My interest in business began during high school when I started taking business classes. At the University of Edinburgh I continued studying business and spent an exchange year at the State University of New York at Binghamton’s School of Management. I love to learn and share ideas and I am fascinated by innovative approaches to business and leadership. In addition to growing up in England, I have also been fortunate to live in Scotland, France and five U.S. states (New York, Florida, Arizona, Massachusetts and my current home in Truckee, California). My travels have broadened my perspectives, enabling me to adapt fast to new situations and maintain an open mind to new ideas. When I am able to take a break from my hectic work/study schedule I enjoy music, concerts, travel, road trips and Disney theme parks.
